Who hasn't seen the fighter jets?

What is the significance of the fighter jets... I understand the jumbo suggests an airport and whatnot, but what about the fighter jets? I wonder if it pertains to something in history... or just another reference similar to the jumbo jet

They replaced the jumbo with fighter jets just for fun, I guess? It happens
only on a specific day. Isn't it exciting to spot something like this? ;)
