I am attempting to make my own lucky hit game with some wood and pins etc and I was wondering A) If anyone here would be interested in seeing the finished product and B) had any links to pictures on lucky hit boards in Shenmue 2 that i could use as the back ground graphic.
Thanks

I'd love to see that! As far as using the games background, if you managed to get a print to use at a decent size, chances are the quality would be terrible and you're better off finding your own design.

I wasn't actually planning on printing a full size one, I just wanted an authentic design, which i could chalk/paint or whatever on there. So yh, i don't need a massive picture, just a front on picture of one of the lucky hit boards in the game. Also it might be good to see the pin layout on the board, as i'm not sure how to lay them out.

I remember I use to play Roll it On Top with my brother back in the day. Simple and fun.
And yes, your idea sounds very interesting.

Make sure to say "Hey, want to play some Lucky Hit?" in a creepy fashion just like it is said in the game.

Well its nice to see that people are so interested. Thanks for all your messages, Progress report on the Lucky hit game: Got all the bits of wood and some pins, will boot up the shenmue 2 tonight or tomorrow to try and get a picture that I can paint onto the back ground, and to find a nice pin layout. And yes I'm all ready to say (and this is no doubt spelt wrong) "Otoshanama Dodeska"

Be worth playing a few different games to measure the level of difficulty if you plan to copy the pin placements for your game. Lucky Hit Museum is the obvious choice

I actually saw a very similar game being played near Bath last Christmas. They were selling the boards too but I was tapped out :(

- Progress update -
I have begun work on the board today. I selected the image from a stand near the Yan Tin Apartments, of an eagle (i think). I have had to design as custom pin layout as my board is slightly shorter than the ones in shenmue, but it should do.
I expect completion today hopefully, by the end of the week if not today
EDIT: I found a link to board design -

Here is the board artwork finished, I am yet to add the pins, hit zones and sides, but I think the was the hard bit.
I've put a link, as I can't get the attachment thingy to work.
I know my artistic capabilities are limited but I'm actually quite happy with it.
