Hello everyone. I am playing through both games again, and will be, for the first time, transferring my save from the first game to the second.

I have seen differing reports on how the date transfers. It seems like the accurate answer is that it is the date that you finish the first game plus four days? Is that correct?

Picking an example date of January 10, how does that affect the Fangmei sidequest and the Bad Ending date?

I imagine for Fangmei I would just have to pass the time, but is the bad ending based on number of days played, or is it always the same date no matter what?

I apologize for what might be obvious questions/answers.

The bad ending it's July 31st, and the fangmei birthday it's on march 3rd.

You can pass time by failing the barber's QTE (you have to start doing fangmei quest around feb 25).

Kinda late but I just did the save transfer myself, ending Shenmue 1 on Jan 10. I started Shenmue 2 on the 30th IIRC, maybe the 29th. It was a long boat trip.

Still will need to pass time until later in the month, will probably do some hardcore training with Jianmin during that time.

Is there a way to pass time after the barber? I was hoping to be living iwth Xiuying to avoid having to pay for each night.
