What is that Fire symbol in the moves list?

Postby ggRabbit » Sun Aug 02, 2015 6:57 pm

I'm not sure if it's the same with everyone, but for me, when I'm looking at the moves list, "Counter Elbow Assault" and "Tiger Storm" both have a Japanese symbol surrounded in flames to the right of the name / button command..

I can't for the life of me find anyone anywhere on the internet acknowledging what this symbol means?

Anybody know what it means / why it's there??

Thanks :D

can't say, but i'll have a stab working it out. (martial arts vary altogether, not just about attack.)
...
here's how this nutter sees the elemental representations in general to human actions.
1, FIRE = attack/focused intent.
2, WIND = evasion/stealth.
3, EARTH = defense/countermeasures.
4, WATER = discipline/training.
...
is what this joker typed. :P :rotflmao:
welcome by the way, have fun!

You can use those moves to set your opponents on fire. You just have to believe... [-o<

I always just assumed that was the symbol to denote that move as being particularly powerful.

Are both of those moves one-hit KO's?

^^ a combo move, part of it (tiger storm) seems specific to wasting izumi...according to gamefaqs.com!
Code: Select all

 :P
[edit]
doesn't specify, i'm guessing the combo will do a good deal of damage, and induce knockback/stun/ko if low stamina?!

One of them is one of my more powerful moves, but the other one is pretty sub-par;

and the symbols have gone to other moves since i made this post..

Yep, it denotes that the move kills lower level enemies instantly. The move also has a chance to do critical damage to higher level enemies.

Its listed as a "Critical Move" in the game manual, these moves allow you to unconditionally knock out weaker enemies with one blow. ah the days when manuals were helpful.
