Game won't save

I'm having this problem where when I try to save, it starts saving for a few seconds, then says it failed. After that, it thinks the VMU doesn't have enough free space to save until I unplug it and plug it back in. I tried using another VMU, and it has the same problem. In case this helps, it is an NTSC Dreamcast, I am using the English mod version of the game, and I am on disc 2.

Have you been able to save before now? Try with an empty and formatted VMU, if you can.

Yes, I was able to save, but the problem happened every now and then. It's just that the second disc will not save at all. And getting an empty VMU right now would not be very easy.

Well, the only possibilities I can think of are
- Both of your VMU's are corrupted (unlikely)
- There's a problem somewhere with the connection between your VMU and your Dreamcast.
You might try putting a VMU with no batteries in your controller, then wiggling the cable around while watching the VMU display for flickers or power drops.

I think I solved the problem. I unplugged the rumble pack, and it's saving fine now.

Good good!
This also happens if you unlock the extra blocks of save memory on the VMU with Dream Explorer.
