Maybe we should get a lemonade stand to start raising money for the game. Only $47 million per glass.

The more time passes the more I want shenmue...
This is such a torture
Shenmue is the biggest cliffhanger in the history of video games.
If shenmue had a proper ending I would not mind if there was never another sequel.
But shenmue series didn't had a proper ending.
That the reason I can't give up....
Since I played both shenmue games all other games are crap to me they just not good enough.
No other game has filled that void that shenmue left me.
Shenmue is more than a game is something so special. It is like a life experience.
Shenmue is the only thing I am a stupid Fanboy of....

Even if Sega makes it, we won't be able to play it. This will happen the minute SHAMOOO THRI hits the stores:

One of the few posts under your name that I really subscribe to.
That's pretty much it.

Still, heads up.
We will get it, and hopefully no apocalyptic, extinction level explosion will prevent us from enjoying it.

If the shelves are filled with dozens of FPS lookalikes that sell like there is no tomorrow and the world hasn't imploded yet, I don't think something as harmless as Shenmue III will have such an effect.

Still, that is what I would call going out with a bang.

I'm not thinking about the game every day but it does occur now and then. Actually today while playing Yakuza 4 I started thinking of Shenmue. I'm not being negative about Yakuza 4 or anything but it just made me long for a continuation of the Shenmue series.
I do really like the Yakuza games too since I see them as some kind of related series in a way. But it doesn't stop me from wanting Shenmue too.

I kind of see Yakuza as the game with more sidequests and a bit more RPG-feeling. Shenmue then is the game that has less of that but more of an immersive lifelike feel due to the fact that all people actually spoke, the weather and time effects etc.

Unfortunately I can't really explain what I mean but it's like both games are in a common "universe" while one balances a little bit more to the "earthly" side (action, Yakuza, gangs) whereas the other one has a little bit more of a spiritual aspect (Wude, mythology). Damn it, just reading that post made me put on the Shenmue soundtrack, couldn't help it ;)

Damn the movie sucks. Worst editing in history.
Another reason why i think most VG films suck. Trying to condense 10-80 hours in 90 min is almost impossible.
Shenmue Movie felt like a 90 minute trailer.

I need to highlight some issues, as some one who was there...even though I couldn't get in during the actual speech
because of my limited pass, but I asked from people who came out about the actual exprience
and also, I got in when his talk was over, and they were about to leave.

0-The translation sucks

1-That man, Marc Cerny, he loved Suzuki san, his work and I found him talking about Suzuki san,
and the way he is back again after years just to carry on his mission, which is concluding Shenmue saga.
"He said: This is truly amazing, he is starting back on his own", so if you found him...making fun out of
some stuff, he is only joking...come on, Shenmue II 2001 and now it's 2011, it is gonna be bigger than
Duke Nukem.

2-SEGA guys, they had respect for Shenmue...they might be up to something,
considering their strange strategies on releasing DC collection only for X360 and...
(I am not saying no Shenmue III for PS3 but there are some other issues which we need
to discuss)

3-Yu Suzuki...please pay attention carefully...at the end of the "I think..." video,
Marc Cerny decides to ask people's questions and he leaves Suzuki san...
but Suzuki san is like...(stop, I am not finished yet) so, makes that statement...
which means as far as we know Suzuki, he always likes to skip Shenmue III stuff...
but this time, he is the one,...showing interest and making an additional comment.

---As for the evening event...
AWARD one, I also have things to say...but I think I have revealed most of these stuff,
in my Shenmue III section topic, Yu Suzuki & GDC...so I am not going to post them here again.

BTW anyone thinks that Japan's recent disaster may have a bad effect on the future of Shenmue series...

Well, at least since the disaster Yu Suzuki has not done any tweets (he did one, and then he deleted it)
, and not much Shenmue gai updates...

All these news and statements are now in a different situation...delay?

EDIT

I didn't say no Shenmue because of disaster,
I am just telling since many Japanese games got canceled or delayed...
then maybe, our Shenmue might be affected too and these are just
the other (smallest) consequences of Japan's recent terrible events
which are nothing comparing to people's life and earth's safety issues.

Anyway,...I think maybe no Shenmue news for a while,
because there are more important events going on...
a country in crisis, it affects everything.

Wish the best for Japan's people and btw,
last night I just noticed we can donate money via app store too!
easy, fast and everyone must do.

Best Regards, Ali M.N

That is pretty selfish. Fuck video games when in crisis. Last thing anyone should be concerned about japan is is a fucking video game.

BTW even though SEGA doesn't have any console anymore...
they have donated as nearly as Nintendo, SONY and many others
for Japan's recovery, and this money is coming from a game
like Sonic and .../ some have gone even further and they
donte all they make out of a video game for a limited time.
