Its hard to believe he would want to do another sequel first, but you never know I guess.

Q: If, given time and circunstances, it becomes clear that it will be almost impossible for you to make a new Shenmue game can you assure your beloved fans that you will still release the story in the form of a book,a manga, a movie; some other, affordable medium?

el_clown, thank you and good luck.
If you don't mind me saying: be sure to select only a dozen questions or so. One hour with Yu is a honour and a dream to many but it goes by in a heartbeat. Also, less questions will mean more time for elaborate, meaningful answers.

Thank all of you who support me! I have about 50 questions with 15 being THE BIG ONES (Even that I know that unless he answers "yes" or "no" to all the questions, I won't be asking more than 20). If he can elaborate 3 and that makes an hour I'll be happy as a clown \:D/ But my experience with Japanese filmmakers is that they don't usually elaborate on the answers that's why I have so many! Also please note that even though I am going to try and focus on his artistic vision for Shenmue, if he doesn't want to talk much about the game, but really wants to talk about "sword of vermillion" to name one, I am not going to try and change his speech, so he's in charge! I'll try to make the most of it!

Well I am finishing editing the first draft of the interview right now and I hope it to have the final version in frech in a couple of days (thanks Ziming and Kenji-kun!). Thankfully I had a tone of work to do, I am currently editing a documentary and it's very time consuming, so until this morning I couldn't realise how nervous I actually feel. In a few days I am going to meet one of my personal youth heroes and will have the chance to inquiry about all those things I always wanted somebody to ask. By Saturday evening I'll post my initial reactions to the interview and the conference, also I'll upload a small teaser (if the content is good enough) in videoxoc.com on Sunday's morning, so check it please and give me a piece of your mind! THANKS!

I don't have much time, but I'll post you this. Yu Suzuki will not talk about Shenmue 3, also he will not talk about Sword of Vermilion. After all, the interview didn't go as planned (we wanted to go beyond the regular interview, and it simply didn't) it isn't a shitty interview nonetheless, still not perfect or not how I wanted it to be. The only think I can say is this: when I asked if there was a port to XBL-PSN or HD remake for XBOX-PS3 on the works, he looked at me and said: You mean Remake or Port? Which made the warning lights in my head go nuts!

Also I want to say this: I believe that Yu Suzuki is one of the true pioneers in videogames and videogames will eventually be considered another artform. When that happens, developers like Bushnell, Miyamoto or Suzuki will be seen as the Alba-Edisson, C. B. DeMile and Griffith of this medium. Therefore just being able to share some anectotes and experiences with him is a BLESSING!!! I cannot stress enough that even though there's some dissapointment in me right now, just being able to be with THE MAN makes all worth it.

With that said, there will be no teaser posted tonigh, I don't think it's relevant and by Tuesday the interview will be fully posted. Also I want to thank Shendream and Kenji-kun of Shenmue Master to make this possible and help me along the way.

I wonder if he politely declined to answer a question about Shenmue III or stated beforehand he will not discuss it at all..

Can't wait to see what he had to say, doesn't surprise me about not wanting to discuss Shenmue III at all. Can't fault him for that.

It was agreed before hand. I don't fault him for anything, I will say it again, being able to share some time with him was A BLESSING. He was superpolite and AWESOME. Even if we had an official translator that could (barely) speak English he tried to answer me in English and directly speak with me. Suzuki-san is GREAT, but I understood today that the creative process of Shenmue is full of secrets, secrets that he is not allowed to disclose, even if he wanted to.

Also, SHENMUE GAI IS NOT TERMINATED! The first season of the game is coming to an end, and right after in ends, the new season will begin.

After the panel of Q&As he said that after so many people inquiring about and asking for Shenmue he feels that he MUST do Shenmue 3 no matter-what and that he has to work diligently to achieve it.

Thanks for your time guys!
