Why has nobody replied to this yet? I take this as everything but confirmation that they are working on it. Why else would he say Shenmue when he knows what our community is like as soon as the title is mentioned? Oh my....what I would give to have Shenmue in HD on my 50" LG mmmmmmmmmm.

He didn't confirm anything, though. This isn't that far off from "We may continue the Shenmue series one day", and he only brought up Shenmue because it was directly related to the question as it is the most requested DC game for XBLA. I've seen so many of these vague half arsed answers from Sega reps, that I just can't allow myself to get excited until I hear something official. It certainly does seem plausible that it is in the works, but still, I'll wait for something concrete before I start peeing myself in excitement (which I will do if it is announced).

As much as I want Shenmue on XBL I think the guy is anticipating the most requested games by saying "I know Shenmue and Skies of Arcadia will be the most requested." I don't think he's necessarily saying they're working on the games. Because he says it right after the interviewer tells gamers to send in their requests. It's like...
"Be sure to send in your requests."
"I can tell you now they're going to say Shenmue and Skies of Arcadia. I can't say yes or no."

Lol Birtys post cracked me up. I was busy with work all morning otherwise i would have made a post. Its no surprise to be honest, i have always said its being remade for a while, it just takes a lot longer to remake due to the size of the game. If they are doing 1 and 2 then thats so much data to go through, envionments, characters, cutscenes to revamp. Audio upgrades..... it would be the biggest game available on the Xbox/PSN markets to download would it not?

But anyways, as the others have already said, until i see that announcement video on the Sega website for Shenmue being the next DC DLC release, then this isnt really nothing new. The best thing that can come of this is that other gaming news websites (as many as possible) pick up on this and publish a Shenmue specific article. The more word of mouth, the more pressure on Sega to something about it.

Yeah it sucks when rare games get mass produced. My DBZ Ultimate Battle 22 went down in value because of the re-release...
