Every 3rd of the month, Shenmue fans descend upon Twitter to participate in the Shenmue Tweetathon. United around the hashtag #GiveYuTheShenmueLicense, the gaming community takes this opportunity to speak with one voice in support of Yu Suzuki's efforts to make Shenmue III a reality. We encourage everyone to spread the word and be heard on the 3rd! You can learn more about the campaign here.

To mark the June 3rd event, we are pleased to announce the winner of our 70-man battle competition held in conjunction with First 4 Figures. Brawling his way through the grueling gauntlet of Mad Angels in an impressive time of 3 minutes and 49 seconds, James Brown from the UK has earned himself an Exclusive edition Ryo Hazuki statue. Congratulations James! The winning video and competition results can be viewed here.

Haha thanks guys! Can't believe some of you still remember me, it's been about 10 years i think :D...

Couldn't figure out my log in, I thought my username was jamesbrown, but i can't get it to work o0...anyways...it is me :D

Super happy that I won, I couldn't believe it...I must have been playing for like 6 hours straight for like 3 or 4 nights remembering all the different enemies, what works on them, and what doesn't, and to be honest, I think it was like the last 20 and the boss that I managed to take out pretty quick, cause watching the video back now, the start is slightly embarrassing haha, me running kicking thin air, hehe. But yea awesome stuff! I'm surprised that only 9 people entered?

Although I won't be crazy active, I hope to post again from time to time, especially since this competition reunited me with the game I love, and it's amazing community that has supported and stuck around this long. It's nice to still see some familiar names.

All the best guys, and thanks for putting on this comp, I really enjoyed it. I'd have bought the statue anyways, but this is fantastic!

I remembered immediately. Actually, the first thing that I thought was : "Awesome, even if he doesn't hang around here he's clearly still a fan."

I wanted to participate but realized that filming it would be a bit difficult. Plus that I was focusing on passing some courses which didn't leave me with enough time to practice and get into that battle again. So yeah...

Grats James! Long time no see. I hope you're doing well!

I'm not surprised only 9 people entered. Having the skills to get a good time while also being able to video tape it with a phone/camcorder device in addition to getting it uploaded is probably beyond what most fans with a working dreamcast and copy of shenmue are willing to get working.
