I especially like how he keeps the look of the game and of that era of gaming.
Many HD remakes/remasters (namely made by fans) tend to go for a certain 'modernization' of the way the image looks that is contra natura to me.

Shenmue still looks VERY good, high definition just helps this truth shine.

Fans do what SEGA-don't.

Your Shenmue HD is very beautiful! We hope you can release a small demo soon, so we have something to play with.

Saw these videos a few days ago, and they blew my mind ! Everything about them is absolutely stunning and really, really impressive. It's exactly what fans want from an HD remaster of the game: re-imagined, yet completely faithful to the original.

The only thing I didn't like is that the You Arcade has been re-designed as more of a showcase than what it was in the original game. Instead of packing the arcade with eighteen machines and no darts, jukebox, table-top or funny-looking-yet-ever-lovable cashier , ten machines as well as the aforementioned missing elements would work really, really well.

Excellent work, dude, and I cannot wait to see more!
