Obviously I would be happy if it 10 million. The reality is I'm glad its at what its at. I really just wanted it to beat bloodstained to atleast show how important it is to the fans. I think its going to be over 6 million. They've said they have outside funds from the kickstarter so I think we get the game that Yu Suzuki envisions.

Plus, I think the success of the kickstarter can open up the possibility of receiving additional funding and/or additional investors.

This is the big win. This KS has proven there is still a market for Shenmue after 14 years. Additional funding will be much easier now we are Kickstarter's most funded video game of all time.

Honestly - Yu Suzuki already stated that with 5 million he could make it a great game, so as it looks like we will go far over 6 million I think we already reached the top of the mountain and start gold plating it.

If we are talking about stretch goals $7.5 mil would be the number for me, as a fully implemented combat system could eclipse even Virtua Fighter 5's one at this point. The combat system is definitely one of the most important aspects of Shenmue for me, second only to the exploration mechanics.

6 million was my initial prediction long before when it was at around 3. This 6 million gives us the Advanced battle system, what I think was the most important stretch goal to hit below 10 million.

I'm more than happy already. I've been happy ever since it was announced, I would have been happy with 2 million. Now we're getting 6 and it's blowing my mind. The fact that the game is happening at all alone is blowing my mind.
