Sega of Europe sent us two figures. One for me and the other for LanDC. Should see them arrive sometime next week. Oh yeah SoE told me to relay the following message about the figures:

"Something to know about the figures – if you see any actually numbered on eBay etc, these have been tampered with. For reasons unknown, the company concerned didn’t actually number the figures.. on the back there’s ____ of 1000. So rather a fail on their part there. So if the community ever sees one that advertises itself as an actual number do not trust it. I don’t want you guys getting stung by some guy who’s advertising he’s got #1/1000. And there’s only 999 in existence now... one arrived here absolutely annihilated. " ~ArchangelUK~

You two deserve it, great job all these years Ziming and DC.

I didn't win one from Sega, but I managed to get one off EBay for $30. I am happy.

Bargain.

It's the thought that counts. Ryo and Shenmue are back in the spotlight, which is good enough for me..

Good deal SeppukoPanda! The Symbiote rep who called me about my win mentioned that the figure has a value of $40, so technically you saved $10!

Oddly enough, I just got a Shenhua figure myself off ebay (for $15) and she's currently standing next to Ryo.

 @ having a Sega activator.
Great collectors items of one of the worst things Sega ever made.

looking at the lack of deals on the shenmue figure ive got a feeling its a computer designed piece (like a rapid prototype) - if it was hand sculpted i think there would definitely be some more detail - especially in the hands.

It bothers me that Ryo seems to sit so awkward. It's not ergonomical at all and I really expected more from him, being a martial artist. They even used to give compliments on his posture in the games.
I might even start a petition against this I think.

I'm still bummed there were never any Shenmue Kubricks. They're fun to collect.
