in all seriousness i think this idea is awful. there are only a few of us; even fewer who will actually buy a game just to increase its sales. The added sales of a few copies of shenmue will tell sega nothing. Hell, the added sales of 500 copies of shenmue will go unnoticed. Please dont waste your money. If you want it as a mint condition collectors item then thats cool, but dont do it just to increase sales.

Rhayno's right. Buying more than one copy of Shenmue 2 probably wouldn't help Sega.

Well mi bought Shenmue 2 for the Xbox second hand, bit short of cash, but i never got thcover for the Movie. I'm gonna buy two more copies, one to play complete with proper disc covers and one that ill keep unwrapped.

I bought Shenmue 2 DC for full price though.

Youer idea is good because if Shenmue 2 sales pick up greatly SEGA etc will notioce this and will have more money to make Shenmue 3. However, i would only do this on the condition that buying extra copies was gonna pay for Shenmue 3 and nothing else..

There is no DVD cover for the UK Xbox version. It comes in the same box as the game, that's why the peg fits two discs on it.

and spending £40 ($70) for a videogame is crazy enough.
i cant afford to spend another £20 for it.

the idea wont work.

a better idea would be to donate £1000 each to the cause of digital rex. stupid, i know, but at least they'll get the idea. then say they gave it all to charity! that much money would do little for the game too, and we dont even have that kind of wealth.

if... no, when, shenmue 3 comes out, all of us should buy 2 copies... one to play with, and another as a collector's edition... that way the sales will double right if all us fans do it... i know ill do it if all of you fans do it as well

I got TWO Shenmue I, ONE Shenmue II and ONE Shenmue II X (and I don´t have a XBox)... by the way... I´m expecting ONE Shenmue 2 (DC Collection - Jap) from Lik-Sang. ;) I´ve done my part!!!!

Well all of have tried. Ive got all these brand new:

Shenmue (DC)
Shenmue II (DC)
Shenmue IIx

Its not the problem of the game. Think when shenmue II for the dreamcast was released, so was the PS2 a well known computer that most people who are not major gamers have heard of.

What a great idea, I suppose they must have told people to do this on the "Busted" forum - how else could they have 2 albums???
