If you want to get technical, they still have to get that money from wherever the funds where being pipelined so technically, something can still go wrong.

FUCK YEAH!!!
If someone asked me just two months ago, I'd say that Shenmue was dead and that Hell would freeze over before we got Shenmue 3.
And yet, today, here we are, Shenmue 3 is happening, this is the best video game related news I've ever had in my life and it's the most successful video game ever on Kickstarter, to boot. And I'm very happy that I could be a part of it.

Thank you to everyone who backed. Congratulations to all of you, congratulations to me as well, congratulations to Yu Suzuki and everyone else involved! We did it!

Let's just enjoy this (still almost hard to believe) news and forget any negativity and bitching that are all too common in gaming forums.

I still find it hard to believe Shenmue 3 beat Bloodstained not only money wise, but as well as number of backers. Though I admit I myself created 3 accounts just for the campaign :lol:
