Not a horrible profit considering it'll cost them neither time nor effort to plug someone's name into the game. I really don't get why they're pricing these things so high.

This is a great idea, maybe if we can someone get them to notice this suggestion it would work.

For real? I thought you wanted that dinner more than anything else.

From the KS page:

Once Yu Suzuki approves your name, it will become vendor's sign in Chinese and English.

True but I don't want to walk in a traditional Chinese region and see Jacks and Toms with blonde hair.

Don't wanna sound rude, but how is punishing people that backed the full price for the tier a good idea?

See, this is what I am talking about. This is not a shop selling items. It's not "a sale". It's a reward. For donating money to go to funding for Shenmue 3. The only reason you should be pledging, and getting a reward in return. You all are now expecting rewards based on the monetary value that it seems to represent. But it doesn't represent thay at all, it's a figure thay someone is comfortable to donate to make Shenmue 3. At best it's a slight incentive, but at the end of it all, your pledge should be for the purposes of Shenmue. Not what item you want to buy.

They're all approved first by Suzuki. It'll probably be names like Zhau Ming Lu blah blah.

I have a feeling they're not listening to anyone's suggestions, hence the weird, oddly-priced rewards.

The only Western NPCs we'll see are the 5 members of the Chiyoumen at the $10,000 tier, and we already saw they had non-Chinese members in the first game. Only got one backer of the $4000 Lucky Hit board, so that's not particularly intrusive either.

That tier doesn't exists BTW.

And let's say there are 40 stores, Does it matter if one is called "robert's charcoal" and not "xing xing charcoal" ? If wasn't aware this is a tier would you actually care that there's some foreign name in there ?

What if "bob's pizzeria" was named by a fan, does it makes a difference actually ?

Exactly. This is getting funny as hell. They add a new high tier reward, no one wants it. A day later, they add another one. No one wants it. Instead of acknowledging their failure and removing these tiers, they add another one at an even higher price level!! But, be quick, there is a limit of only 10 places!! :rotflmao:

They can add another 10 rewards if they want to. What's much worse is there are now two uninspiring updates in the last week of the campaign. Poll results and twitter recap from almost 5 days ago? Booooring.

Dobuita might have a Bob's Pizzeria. Less likely for a rural chinese village

Well you see that's the challenge, if you do a price cut on the tiers it has to apply to the existing backers also. The tricky part is will doing this get enough additional funding to cover the lost money on cutting the price for existing backers? Who knows, maybe yes or maybe no.

I don't see why the Chi You Men would not hire Westerners as black suits. If I could have afforded it, I would have totally wanted to be in Shenmue as a Chi You Men member who fights Ryo.

Also like the Guest Book thing. The Guilin area is a very, very touristy place so it makes sense.

Yeah, that's not how it really works and you know it.

No one is expecting to get full "pound per pound" tiers, but it's good for the people that get rewarded with cool things they actually want.
