This is a great idea, maybe if we can someone get them to notice this suggestion it would work.

Don't wanna sound rude, but how is punishing people that backed the full price for the tier a good idea?

The only reason you should be pledging, and getting a reward in return. You all are now expecting rewards based on the monetary value that it seems to represent. But it doesn't represent thay at all, it's a figure thay someone is comfortable to donate to make Shenmue 3. At best it's a slight incentive, but at the end of it all, your pledge should be for the purposes of Shenmue. Not what item you want to buy.
