OVA or Manga/a better option and less controversial? [rant]

I could imagine knowing the ending of the saga by reading an anime, book or watching a OVA, but this would be the end of hope for experiencing the game, which is an important part of the Shenmue-do (this term is superb!). It is not only what happens, but how it happens, and how you react to the experience. Games are a different way to tell stories, and Shenmue may be a case of a tale better told by playing, rather than reading or watching.
I thought Yu would just make a final game to ending the saga if S3 comes one day, but he choose the hard way, the right way in his opinion, to not rush things, because it would not be possible come to the end in just one game. I think now I understand this. The experience is the key, and I hope S3 will deliver.
