Is this a goof or are you being genuine here?

It's a bit of both. But let's just say I find it better to not be hyped and to be surprised at PSX than to be hyped and then be disappointed when it doesn't come to fruition.

you will be just as disappointed as we are except you can now take the credits that you claimed this all along and pretend you're not disappointed. seriously how old are you?

You take a one month ban and donate 50 bucks to the slacker backer if it is. :D

Are some of these backers from the dojo?

They are phantoms. No one knows who they are. Seriously.

How did we find out back in June that the LA dinner was moved to December?

I emailed asking why there wasn't an update on the LA backers dinner. Once they said it was moved from June to December, I suspected they were planning something for PSX.

That's a tease if I ever saw one.

I'd actually call that the least indicative tweet he's made about anything happening this month. With or without PSX, there's no reason not to mark the one-year pre-anniversary of a game he's excited to co-produce.

I half agree, but Cedric knows what kind of reaction he'll get out of a Tweet like that after all the PSX talk.

He's riling up the fanbase, and doing a good job of it judging from the replies.

Without any context, I'd agree. But with context, being that there's a lot of hype among the fanbase right now that it might be at psx, he's definitely using this as a way to get the fanbase fired up. He's essentially using us as a thermostat to check for hype levels. As a producer, that's his job.

Agree with Let's Get Sweaty, there's really no hidden purpose from Cédric here.

As said above, he's a producer and entrepreneur of a small business, not a communication director. I read all his French public statements from E3 2015 and he has always been frank with his shares of though. His hints are usually way more indicative than that.

The only message he made a reference to the PSX until now is when he answered a fan about a possible appearance.

I’d be happy with a nice little teaser trailer.
I’d be ecstatic with a teaser + HD remaster announcement.

Then again, I suppose cautious optimism is always the way to go. Especially in Shenmue's case.

The only reason why we have still doubts about Shenmue 3 appearance at PSX is because we are Shenmue fans and as Shenmue fans, we are afraid to look forward with confidence. It's absolutely normal and I would say healthy, considered where we come from and how long we struggled with the hopes of getting a sequel to Shenmue 2.
Now, honestly, half of what Cédric said on Twitter (but also Peter's comments after the backer dinner) would be enough to give full confidence to most of other franchise fans out there.
But we are Shenmue fans and we act with caution.
If Shenmue 3 doesn't appear at PSX, it will be by accident and not because that was the plan.

My bet? We will get our Christmas treat. :)

As for the HD remasters... unlike previous events (E3 or TGS), I don't feel it. Which may mean that's going to happen
