I definitely shed a couple tears of joy at the announcement. It's coming to ps4 and pc using the unreal 4 engine. I backed 200. Was hoping for a physical ps4 release cause I don't have a strong pc. I'm new to kick starter has any of them gotten retail releases? The 14 year wait is over now let's finish it.

I never thought I would see this happens in my life. People talked about Kickstarter for Shenmue 3 but after years of silence I thought that's it. And now out of the blue - Shenmue 3!

Just pledged $500 for this. Greatest game of my childhood and it makes me feel old but to play 3 and complete the story is a dream come true!

This is literally the best day of all time! We have to get this to the 4 million stretch goal, and to be honest, even further than that! We have waited so long for this opportunity! We have to give Yu and the team as much as we can so they have enough money to create the game that they want and also what we want!

Where we left off... Ryo Hazuki has made his way to China in search of his father’s killer. There he meets a new travelling companion, Shenhua, and learns of a legend from her village that has foretold their path together.
