the way i read it was that Suzuki wanted to get away from the uncomfortable subject about shenmue 3 not ending the story, he then looked at the question feed and quickly chose something new to talk about, and the chai question happened to be the one he turned upon, so he accidentally revealed more than he otherwise would. i could be wrong.
