This is a nice idea. One thing to keep in mind If planning perishable items like flowers, the Ebisu address for YS Net that is known publicly is only a correspondence address in a different location to the studio so Yu might not be checking there often.

I still like my previous suggestion of asking Ryan Payton. He's not directly involved with the project but visits them quarterly based on that interview from last year where he talked about it. He just seems like the best person to ask. What are your thoughts on that?

Don't know yet. I volunteered to make the Gofundme but would honestly feel better if it was someone else doing it.

I'm not too comfortable collecting money without concrete ideas of what we're doing.

In the meantime, I suggest if people pm me messages to Yu Suzuki-san for his birthday, and I can get a card tomorrow and and send it off with the messages printed inside. I'll ask awesome Japan to see check the mail next month, how does that sound?

Yeah, I think Twitter is pretty much the best way to contact people you don't know.
