Hidden Tiger Swallow Style Information

I don't think it necessarily means that Lan Di practices Tiger Swallow just because his father did. I'm sure he knows it but I thought the style he used was "ancient, deadly and forgotten" or something along those lines that Master Chen tells Ryo. Also, Lan Di would have been around 10 when his father died, so he'd hardly know enough of the style to master it on his own. Iwao would had to have been back in Japan for at least 18 years (to have Ryo) and Lan Di is around 30, so unless there's some plot twist with Ryo's mom; which I am very inclined to believe there is, then it should be about the way I described it. But it's clear that time is of huge importance to Shenmue. I mean, look at the scene when Shenhua is born, or his father's basement, or the fact that Ryo feels connected to the Shenmue tree somehow. Of course none of it makes sense now, which is why we need Shenmue 3. Urge to play...rising...rising....

That's what I've always thought, actually. I just can't accept that Baihu and Lan Di would use the same style... :roll:

Sounds too easy to me. Where did Lan DI learn about the mirror(s)? Maybe from some old guy, maybe that guy thought him his style, this "deadly and forgotten"?

(I haven't played Shenmue in ages, so details are a little sketchy when it comes to the plotline)

Also, I'm not saying it can't his style couldn't be Tiger Swallow, I just find that hard to believe.

According to an official guide, obtaining the mirror was a direct order from his superior,
Ten-tei = Tian Di (Heavenly emperor.)

It's a Japanese guide called "Shenmue II Complete Guide" by Soft Bank Publishing.
Soft Bank is the publisher of "Dori-Maga, (former 'Dreamcast Magazine')."

I'm not sure which pages are interesting to you, but here's a couple of pictures.
I know this image of Dou Niu is found in the artwork page of the Dojo, but not Yuan's.

And, the second one shows the early designs of the darts players.

The only characters we know for sure that use this are Baihu and Sunming Zhao. I guess it's just an assumption Lan uses the same fighting style as his father. I keep getting this idea that Baihu will train Ryo in Shenmue III...
