Ideas for the campaign

I've seen various ideas about what should be used with th campaign and i like some of the ideas but their all a bit spread at the moment so i feel this topic should stick to campaign ideas.

I like the idea of sending empty capsule toys, like the ones you get out of a Kinder Suprise egg, to extend that idea why not write a message on a bit of paper asking for Shenmue III before sending it.

Other ideas include:
- Designing Shenmue characters and themes in games and posting pictures of them e.g. Ren in Smackdown vs Raw or Shenmue themed car in Forza 2 This wasn't my idea so give credit to Vergaro.

- I don't think we should give up on this http://iseethree.thefraudcast.com/pictures/index.php i will be putting my picture up soon and even if you don't want to post a picture of yourself why find a picture of a celebrity and edit it with the money and plaster there's actually been a few more since i last checked months ago, it's the sort of thing that will gain in popularity once more people have done it.

The Forza 2 cars was my idea actually ;)

I've seen fake Shenmue 3 for the DC 2 covers. I think people should try to create more fake Shenmue covers :

Shenmue 3 (Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii)
Shenmue Online (PC, Xbox 360)
Shenmue the Complete Trilogy (Xbox 360, Wii and PS3)

It's not much but some people have truly amazing photoshop skills.

Maybe when we send the toy capsules we should put plaster's/bandade inside.
On the website you could maybe put links to reviews of the game etc. IGN, Gamespot to help attract new people to the series.
Not only cars on Forza put evrey game possible play with them on Xbox Live or Playstation try to advertise. Maybe style your place on Home to be a Shenmue shrine.
Update Wikipedia and IMDb and boast about the game. I know Wikipedia has link's on there page maybe put a link to the site.

I think updating Wikipedia and IMDB are a must because tons of people go on those sites, good suggestion about outting reviews up kudos to Rom for the Forza 2 idea.

Let's make an article about why Yu Suzuki
have received the life time achievement award "HALL OF FAME"

let's say it is not just because of his arcade games, his
simulation games, his Virtua Fighter franchise...

let's make this clear that it is really because of Shenmue!
his ideas, his courage, his hard work on Shenmue!

there are only a few big game developers like
FF's creator who have this big AWARD!

why we shouldn't let people to know
that YS was the first who invented many great game play features
which today games are using from those cool ideas!

For example:
Quick Time Events(QTEs) in GOD OF WAR, Resident EVil 4,
Indigo Prophecy...
Real free-roaming experience in GTA! and....
&...

I have had this idea for awhile. The point of this campaign is to get the attention of the public that we want Shenmue. Even if we do something awesome for Shenmue, it hardly makes buzz.

I have a idea to get events more attention, Having a crew that will digg news submitted. I think we should only do it when we have something really special done.

My huge goal is getting something on the number one story of the day, but we would need 2,000 plus diggs for that -.-''. But being on the front page period would be a great achievement.

I think we as Shenmue fans can do this.

Something needs to be done that would hit the news and make headlines. Would need to be extreme and sounds very optimistic and farfetched but we all seem so eager to develop this campaign so why not? I don't have any specific idea in mind for that though...

I'll likely get attacked for this, but... while it's a good idea to try to make a campaign, I'm concerned with some of the methods people have suggested or will suggest. I like Wikipedia, but it's really an inappropriate place to advertise something, no matter how much we want a sequel. I also wouldn't want to spam the message everywhere and so on. There should be limits on how crazily we try this campaign. A link in a signature is one thing, but... well, I've explained.

Let's kidnap someone's pet, lure them to an abandoned house, trap them in a cage, throw them a TV, Dreamcast, and Shenmue, then order em to complete the game thoroughly or they won't be given food. Freedom comes when Shenmue III's released...

You should make a group on Youtube (like VideoGaiden). Put a link to it on your website. Try to get as many videos as possible on there.
