OMG Sega Says "No Comment" on Shenmue 3 @E3 Rumor

YES! this confirms NOTHING !! but just a little bit of Hope
Sega’s just issued on a “no comment” on rumours last week that Shenmue III is to be shown at this year’s E3.
For what it’s worth - and before you all start frothing at the mouth, digging out your Ryu codpieces and waiting for buses for days on end - we would be extremely surprised it this were true.
The original talk about a new version of the game came from a Meristation report, which speculated that a newly-acquired Unreal Engine license by Sega was to create a third Shenmue game.
We have nothing more to add.

I've been skeptical about the recent Shenmue III mentions (Gamereactor, GHZ thing saying it would come in May and now this), but it is starting to build momentum, so, as Adam Doree said, I'll expect the worst, but hope for the best.

Like others have said there's no point building your hopes up only for them to be destroyed. Just be pleasantly surprised if Shenmue III is announced.

How the hell does "No Comment" in any way mean its a yes?. It just literally means "No Comment", they can't be arsed to make an official statement and confirm its a fake. Don't get your hopes up, at all. Heck, we don't even get told who made the comment, we just get "Sega’s just issued".

Damn, so i'm guessing this is the response TheTimeRanger will get for every question regarding Shenmue III in his interview he sent in. It seemed as if 80% of the interview is Shenmue III-related. I guess that interview will be pointless and worthless if Sega rejects all the questions with "no comment" I hate Sega!!!
