it's about our "toy bombing" of Sega and why we deserve a sequel to Shenmue.

Keep Up the Momentum and Never Stop Believing!

I don't want to sound too presumptuous or try to sell false hopes here, but admittedly, this feels good. It is already very impressive that the Mass Mailing Project has garnered so much attention in the gaming press as it has. Additionally, although minor, articles like IGN's recent "Top 10 Canceled Games that Should Have been Released (which included Shenmue 3)" as well as 2ndOpp's article here suggests the gaming circles haven't yet tired of discussing Shenmue.

So - while it may be hard for all of us fans - if we can keep the momentum going here, and keep garnering at least some public attention (via continued mailings, articles submitted, letters, etc.) regarding the status of Shenmue for at least the rest of the year, it will show Sega that there truly is still a passionate place for the series within the current culture of gaming, even after all these years.

At the very least - it will prove to Yu Suzuki that he has never had anything to be ashamed of or sorry about: regardless of how it performed commercially, fans of Shenmue have impressively remained stalwart for the last 10 years and continue to believe in Mr. Suzuki's ability to one day finish the saga - now we need to continue pushing our endeavours to ensure Mr. Suzuki never stops believing in us, his fans.

Sappy and overly optimistic to be sure - but let's face it: we have never had SO much attention as now. So let's be damn sure we don't let 2ndOpp's and every other Shenmue fan's tireless efforts at this time go to waste.

The mag is not out in the US yet, he said the issue would be out Feb. 12th... I'm sure subscribers are getting it soon, or already have it.

Glad i stumbled upon this site, its great to see that so many others want this epic saga to continue as much as I do. I will be following the progress and contributing where I can, as much as a nobody can, to keeping the hopes alive.

On a side note, why did you make your forum banner have a picture of that **bastard**?

Lan Di........ one day justice will find you.

Did you read the article yet?

I mentioned Shenmue Dojo. I tried to mention all the Shenmue projects going on, and links to the Original petition as well as the huge Xbox live demand... I mentioned Diojan's homebrew project, but I don't know how much will end up in the final article.

Not really, I don't buy games magazines anymore. Maybe if someone posted up a link to it, I'd read it, but otherwise, I ain't ordering it from the US just to read one article.
