Yu Suzuki, awarded at Gamelab 2014

Yu Suzuki is going to be awarded with the "Legend Award" in Gamelab Barcelona, the event will take place in Barcelona during 25-27 June
I am glad that he still receiving recognition for his great job and contributions in this industry.
I'll try to go and see if he can sign my Dreamcast's copies of Shenmue.

Try to go to Spain and got yu and tell him about we are mad at shenmue 3 don't leave him alife in Spain unless he give u yes or no about shenmue 3

I hope Yu-san is perfecting his sales/marketing skills for all of these appearances he has done lately. I think my biggest disappointment has been his inability to be creative enough to pitch an idea that is economically feasible for a publisher to get Shenmue 3 made. He has basically done almost nothing for the past 12 years and he knows that all over the world, people are waiting for Shenmue 3. His entire focus needs to be figuring out a way to get this funded.
I wish him all the best and hope we see some actual results soon.

The guy gets award after award for his achievements but Sega has made it difficult for him to follow his vision...
That's actually a good point japalp that hasn't been made often. Yu may be very good at the creative and technical side but maybe he's not as good when it comes to pitching ideas to "the suits". This could indeed have an influence.
And he also once said that he stayed with Sega out of loyalty. Because of all the chances they gave him when he started out. Maybe things could also have been different if he dared to leave Sega many years ago?

Lalala.... Yu Suzuki and Shuhei Yoshida are close together eating in a restaurant at Barcelona. They are for the Gamelab 2014 event.
