Cool cool stuff. I actually really do hope that Ryo changes outfits from his now signature leather jacket and jeans to the Bajiquan/traditional kung-fu martial artist uniform discussed in the article.
Although the leather jacket and jeans are legend, the story of Shenmue 3 has to evolve naturally. With all this talk of Ryo exploring the rural Chinese countryside and trying to infiltrate Chiyoumen strongholds located there, you would think that Ryo naturally has to exchange his conspicuous city-slicker/outsider clothing for clothes that are more in line with the traditional rural villages nearby.
Especially because Lan Di and ther rest of the Chiyoumen likely generally know what Ryo's usual outfit of a leather jacket and jeans look like by this time, changing the outfit gives Ryo a chance to blend in and work undercover to continue his investigations into the mirrors and the Chiyoumen.
Plus, we'll also get to see him transition into becoming more and more of a martial arts master with the new uniform, like any great traditional hero myth.
