Dunno if i've missed the topic of discussion on this, if so please delete this, but just brielfy looked and couldn't see any discussion on it - so maybe it's only just happened? It's quite easy to miss, since there's no email update as of yet, but if you look at the rewards on the kickstarter page, there's a new $1000 tier which includes the $500 tier, and also you receive a special personal voice message from Ryo! Not sure if this is the big update, and how long it's been there for, but just done my regular check and I spotted it!

It's not limited so no rush, but cool little reward Thoughts? Corey Marshall confirmed for Shenmue 3 then ?

Corey Marshall, the english voice actor who plays the main character Ryo in Shenmue 1 & 2, will do a special voice message for you as Ryo.

Corey Marshall is a legend - clearly going out of his way to help donations.

I'm not interested personally as I don't like Shenmue's dub, but if this gives the KS a bump well then AWESOME.

Looks like it isn't limited to a certain number either!

Say what you will about him, but I am certain some mega fans will go for this. Besides, you get all the other rewards. I imagine we're going to see a nice slow trickle of these today.

Just in! Corey Marshall, the actor who did the English voice acting for the main character Ryo in Shenmue 1 & 2, is now confirmed for Shenmue 3!

The support for Mr. Marshall to reprise his role as Ryo has been just overwhelming!

We would all like to thank Corey-san for coming back, and especially for all the support he has given to Shenmue over the years.

Corey is as excited for Shenmue's return as we all are, and to help out, he has magnanimously offered his voice for a special reward. Yes, that's right--get a personal message from Ryo! The finishing touches are being put on the new video to help spread the good word of Shenmue. Not a bad update.

A little bit of a shame we don't have everything ready to go with so few days left, but at least they're listening and trying to learn from their mistakes. Fair credit to Awesome Japan/Cedric Biscay (if he nudged them along).

Sadly not the update the Ks needs at this time.

it's good to have the voice of ryo, but I'm pretty sure we all assumed this anyways.

i would wonder if his voice will even sound the same given the age and time?

Of course he should be the VO but I hope he can have a bit better expression and feeling

That's good news, still need all those other award tiers we have all discussed a million times though
