Trying to figure out why on earth Yu would give away such a pivotal story moment in an interview...

Love it, the interviewer seems like a real fan.

lol wonder why for all these years suzuki was so tight lipped about revealing anything about the future story, then drops some bombs so casually in this interview.

its nothing too bad, so far at least. i suppose it just seems like a lot considering we had nothing for so long.

I do think it's something we should have found out by playing though, especially when we are now so close to getting the third part.
It is like you said already - Yu's been tight lipped for 14 years but he drops something quite pivotal when we are only a couple or so years away from playing it?

That said - it was my own stupid fault for looking when I was told there were major spoilers, but I hope others are less inclined to look.
