They seemed to strip the whole beauty of the Tomato Convenience Store down in Shenmue 2 overall really, no raffle, just a straight capsule toy for buying chocolate, didn't feel much point to the whole system really which was disappointing. I wonder why if both games were worked on at the same time, they removed features in Shenmue 2, like the cassette player and tapes you could buy from the store aswell. It also would have been quite nice if say Fangmei had an animal, maybe a dog this time around lol, and you could buy bones and food from the store aswell
this could have helped the hidden Fangmei morale system aswell.
