Posted: Thu Aug 27, 2015 8:27 amnice. shenhua mentions the ruins of old castle walls in the village, and some of these pictures remind me of that. maybe throughout history these areas have experienced great destruction caused by earthquakes and over time legendary stories emerged that attributed this destruction to duels between mythical creatures, ala Shenmue online.

Yea, I can so see that being the case, the Chinese love to make legends out of their major events/historical figures, It's going to be interesting to see how its all told in Shenmue 3, when we're actually able to enter Bailu Village.

Posted: Fri Aug 28, 2015 11:31 pmsorry but the Bailu village that was leveled in an earthquake in 2008 is a different village in a different part of China.
Bailu village is a fictional Miao village, the likes of which are found all over Guilin and China.

nope, Baisha village in Shenmue III is a hakka walled village.
