Slacker Backer PayPal - No confirmation email??

Hey guys, just wanted to see if you fellow shenmue fans had had the same issue when donating via PayPal to shenmue 3. Once paid I got a confirmation screen appear but no email or PayPal app alert. This is my second donation to Shenmue 3, the first being through the kickstarter when it was active & I received confirmation emails then.

Anyone else experience this with PayPal?

I did use the same email address which I registered to my Kickstarter account as my PayPal.. If that could have prevented something...

Any comments would be appreciated.

No one else has received confirmation emails either, we've asked Cedric to look into it.

Yeah I only got a confirmation email from paypal. The whole paypal campaign was done in an extremely amateurish way unfortunately.

Odd thing is I didn't even get a notification from PayPal in email or app form. However when I log in I can see the transaction and when I paid initially I got presented with a confirmation page with an accurate transaction number. It's just as one of the previous posters said it just seems to be a very slap dash set up.

Atleast I'm not alone lol..

Wondering the same thing. I went for a 185$ pledge on Kicktarter. Now that i'm more prepared and have money i want to go for the 600$ one but my PayPal and Kickstarter accounts are on the same email.

I'm wondering if you buy something from the Paypal campaign
will they just ship it to your confirmed address,or send you the survey asking where you want it shipped
like the Kickstarter version will.

Think they'll ask because I ordered an extra tshirt, and there was no option for which size I wanted.

Well we all got PayPal receipts (I assume) with YS Net's name on it and purchase details, so I think it's covered until official confirmation at least.

It's such a shame this PayPal campaign has been a mess on so many levels...

I've still some hope that upgrades and PC rewards are coming. I would really like to upgrade my pledge.

At this point, I'd be fine with having the remaining stretch goals become DLCs. Despite being vaguely descriptive, they sound like they can greatly extend the longevity and depth of the game. Thus, I would really hate to see them go to waste.

Cedric is a good guy, but what "plan" exists with 2 weeks left of the campaign? Is it a tactic? Holding it off until now? What benefits come from that?

I'm starting to think this PayPal is going to see an extension and also revamp of there are more changes to come.

Yeah, waiting until there's two (maybe one) weeks left isn't exactly a killer strategy to implement everything.

Also, never noticed this line of text in the paragraph about the PayPal Campaign - "Delivery of rewards/perks are subject to best efforts and not guaranteed." - so buying stuff via paypal might not be guarenteed? o0
