What are you thinking about Shenmue III. Only the THIRD game.

I can share a thought

I am just getting on with life. People say Shenmue III comes out December 2017. So personally, I can wait.

glad someone finally opened one of these for S3, would have done so a few weeks ago but i chickened out!

i'm happy shenmue 3 is continuing with the vibrant colour palette, just like Shenmue 2. S1 had more muted colours probably to represent the 'sadness' tone of Iwaos death, and the humdrum atmosphere of a familiar location.

i've heard Suzuki mention a few times the 'Shenmue feel' (like when pointed out the lighting in the saturn version during his china presentation), so clearly he is taking care to make sure the game feels like a shenmue game.

also i hope it still has something of an Am2 game feel. high standards with polish, with vibrancy, good clean energy etc.- i'm sure you know what i mean.

With you 100% on that. I don't think I'll ever understand choosing to play a game with Japanese dialogue when you don't know the language, especially in the case of Shenmue, where the whole game is voiced.

- If the voice acting is bad, you don't notice as much if it's in a language you don't understand (or just go: those crazy japanese).

I really have the feeling Shenmue 3 is going to have a swerve ending, something either very emotional, or dark, or both, where something unexpected happens.

if they give the option, then i'll play english first (can't wait to hear that corey marshal delivery again) and then japanese for 2nd playthrough.

After playing through the undub version of the original and the Dreamcast version of two, I can't imagine playing through 3 in English. I sincerely hope the English dub is a lot better than the original and the Xbox version of 2, but I can't imagine ever playing Shenmue in English again.

I played the Us version of Shen1
I later got and xbox to play Shen2

So really, I've never really been too exposed to the Japanese voices so of course English would be my choice, I'm glad Shen 3 is getting a dub (Lots of kickstarter Japanese products dont end up getting dubbed like that Little witch academia kickstarter) and Corey is coming back.

i honestly feel he's more connected to the fans than Matmukase (sorry if i misspell his name) and since neither of the languages available in Shenmue are the actual language spoken in China then I'll just pick the best one for me since neither feel more authentic than the other imo.

Niao Sun will kill Ren.

She's the type that would kill people like Ren, and Ren is the type of guy that would be killed by people like Niao Sun.

Possibly at Monaco Magic. If not, E3 June 14th-16th I would say is a lock for new character reveals.

Although I wouldn't be against keeping LanDi completely in the dark until close to the game release. His model, and design I just feel are gonna be as badass as we will have ever seen him. Close to Shenmue Online LanDi I'd say.

I loved the characters models in Shenmue online. Ryo and Xiuying face were perfect if only they can get those models for Shenmue 3 it would be amazing.
