Looks like Shenmue to me. That big buff dude looks much better in motion than he did on those KS update. Shenhua still needs some tweaking but all in all it looks phenomenal.

Only gripe I have is the font. They should use the original like they initially intended.

Boy that logo sticks out. It really sucks.

Other than that - HYPE. That looked pretty fucking good. Obviously the facial animations aren't there yet (probably waiting for actual voice recording to take place), but the Shenmue feel is there. And the environments are spectacular.

I'm amazed by just how cinematic it looks. Especially the bit where he's fighting the fisherman guy. And Chobu really does look like a watercolour come to life.

Apart from a few new added scenes with new characters... Finally I can talk about what my eyes saw when my jaw hit the floor!!!!

Jesus fucking Christ. It's beautiful. Honestly this game could come out on the Atari 2600 and I would play it so the visuals don't bother me too much.

Haha!! Its fucking incredible! Those environments man!!!! You can see how much time has been put into those! Once they spend that amount of time touching up the animations and character models its going to be breathtaking!! Couldn't be happier!

Is this what you saw all that time ago? Would you mind telling us which bits are new and whats changed? (Once you get back from Gamescom etc ofc). Must be amazing to see how far it has come since then!

Cave looks beautiful, and huge improvement from Monaco Feb 2016 on the Bailu Village lake. Roll on E3 2018 when we hopefully get a new trailer

Other than the new characters added. What did your original viewing show? Did the environments look as good? And assuming they used the original Ryo and Shenhua from the 2015 E3 vid.

Definitely. She's not quite perfect yet but she's getting there.

FUck, the more I look at it the better it is, and more emotional I get.

It's a small detail, but the HD Phoenix Mirror really stood out for me. It looks beautiful!

Holy shit everything about the environment looks FREAKING GORGEOUS oh my god the feels!!!

This is the very first time that we have actual footage that looks and feels like Shenmue!!!

The characters are a bit off-putting, some of their animations are kinda stiff (great mo-capped stuff during that fighting bit tho) and especially facial animation and expressions are completely lacking. I think they don't even blink once i know that everyone is going to nitpick that
Of course they will fix everything, i think that's out of discussion.

I love everything about the colors and the lighting, i'm really digging that 90s' cg vibe!

Too bad about the logo, tho...
