That reads like a fanboys wet dream list. Vanquish 2? DMC5? RE2 Remake? Splinter Cell? MGS3 Remake? Beyond Good and Evil 2 Gameplay? Yakuza Kiwami 2 given time on Sony's E3 stage? PS2 and PS3 Backwards Compatibility? Shenmue 3 Gameplay? FFVII Remake LAUNCH Trailer?

Most of those are just...lol.

It's also missing Ghost of Tsushima, which has already been confirmed as being one of the games Sony does a deep dive on at the press conference.

Realistically, what purpose could that document even serve to production? It's just a list of games on a sheet of paper with logos any cowboy could get. Doesn't even give the unannounced games code names, or just listed as [UNANNOUNCED GAME]. Shenmue III was given a code name even at internal meetings at Sony, they're not going to be printed out on a document someone could realistically leak.

I can't believe it's even being entertained as possibly real in some parts of the internet, it's incredibly sloppy when you start thinking about it.

I agree, but some of those are all but guaranteed to be shown at E3. Namely RE2 remake and Beyond Good and Evil 2. But yeah, I 'lol'd' at the MGS3 remake and Vanquish 2

Let's take this as a confirmation that some more patience is needed for a Shenmue III appearance.

Cedric Biscay @CedricBiscay
I will not attend #E32018 let's meet at #Gamescom2018 ;)

Yeah that's pretty on the nose, and hopefully remains accurate. It's not a huge wait until late August.

Let's say that if Suzuki San attends Gamescom as he did last year, we could expect some update by... the beginning of July?
(Gamescom 2017 plans were revealed on June 30th last year)

Maybe, if they intend to have another meet and greet.

If not, then I could see it just being radio silence until the event itself.

Suzuki San may be present for the "business" day before the public opening of the GAMESCOM.
If meetings and interviews with the media take place, they'll need to announce it somehow before the event, even if there's no meet & greet this year.
We'll see... as you said, August isn't that far. :)

I'm not sure stuff like that is announced openly if it's for press only.

Not 100% on this but I think the process is usually done through the game's publisher through back channels or a press-only web portal for bookings. More informal methods exist though. We'll have to see.

You are probably right about the lack of public announcement for this kind of presence, that said, last year the "meet & greet" wasn't announced right away but only confirmed later. I have no doubt the "meet & greet" was in their plans anyway but the first Gamescom update was about Yu Suzuki participating in the business area and giving the latest news about development. (I'm aware the whole purpose of being in Cologne was to announce the deal with Deep Silver)

Nevertheless, Cédric's tweet is pretty encouraging about both Shenmue III and Yu Suzuki presence at Gamescom.

I don't think so, no.

71 days.

That's the number of days between E3 and Gamescom.

I don't see how that means Shenmue III will be released in 2020.

Shenmue III make the show at E3 2015 for the world, obviously he will make the show for the world again, one day at E3. And if nothing will be show at E3 2018 you can be sure will be at E3 2019, it's mean... 2020.

Make sense

Sadly, that this E3 List is a Fake-List. I had hopes but i'm not surprised. When anything bigger would announced it's bad for Shenmue III. I think that this could be a reason. Waiting is annoying of course, but the Publisher and Devs will know the reason (Voice Recording, making strategy plans for marketing, etc.).
