Does anyone else share my hunch?

I just know that they are already working on Shenmue 3. Yu Suzuki cares way too much about the Shenmue series to just let it stop. This whole buiness of Digital Rex and unanounced games, coupled with the way they seem to be so secretive just makes me think that they must already have started to work on it...

I think it's fairly obvious, mainly with the avoided answers when Mr. Fat Guy asked digital rex employees what projects they are working on.

I think they already know exactly what to do with the game and have already done a lot of the work. They must be waiting for the green light to produce their work, though.

Well, I can't say I share the same hunch. But I do fill pretty optimistic of the chances of Shenmue III though. I guess I'm kinda scared to get my hopes too high.

I seriously doubt if they've done any work on Shenmue III for the majority of 2003. But I have a hope that Digital Rex have started work in the last couple of months, and that we'll hear something in May, although not necessarily to the extent of seeing anything more than artwork. I still think it's a 2-year development and, who knows, won't be seen until XBox 2? But as soon as they start to show stuff (proper stuff, I mean, not old stuff that they roughed up for the Dreamcast) we'll know they're working on it, and that will give us all a warm feeling in our hearts.

Erm....ya. Anyway I really really dont think shenmue 3 is completed like some of you because there is no reason for all the silence. I hope it has started production but i'm not to sure bout that either. Thing is, if a big announcement was to be made at e3 it cant be something like "shenmue 3 has started production". No announcements at e3 are so shit, even though to us that would be great. Such an announcement could be made over the internet, it doesnt have to be at a show. However at the show they can confirm it and give a few details, cos I doubt any media will be shown.

And I share that hunch. The game has been done to an extent. In an optimistic view, I'd hope for a teaser movie by the time of E3. In a less optimistic view... maybe Q3-4 2004 for a teaser/trailer?
