Also after Snatcher I want to finally give Policenauts a go. Just need to find a good way to play it.
Good lad. Snatcher is one of the best adventure games I've ever played and Policenauts is great too. If you get stuck, send me a PM and I'll help with emulator settings etc.

I've pretty much got Snatcher ready to go now so I'm fine with that.
I have a problem with Policenauts where the screen looks really grainy. I've seen screenshots of the game where it is really clear and the drawings look beautiful.
I plan to play these through my laptop hooked up to my TV through HDMI with a 360 controller.

Using Fusion with a 360 controller. Couldn't shoot in any corners with the analog but feels great with the D-pad. No problem shooting so far in the shooting range or the part with the robot spiders.

While the gameplay feels pretty obviously improved, I'm just not feeling the story/setting so far. The original game had such a cool "ruined Earth" thing going for it, all post-apocalyptic and whatnot, but this one just feels like I'm wandering through something in World of Warcraft. The environments are generally very nice-looking so far, but they feel kind of boring and "seen it before". And all of the dialogue and characters thus far, though generally well-written, suffer a likewise bland vibe.
I know there's a lot more to see in the game past the initial areas, but so far it just hasn't hooked me like the first did.
Death is certainly a cooler protagonist though.
