Potential Shenmue 3 Joke In Shenmue 2 :D

Hey guys, I watch a dude on Twitch called TheMediumStream, and he recently just cleared Shenmue 2 for the first time. He spoke to this particular NPC in Guilin, who says something at the time rather innocent, but since we now know differently, it comes across really funny and as though Yu Suzuki trolled us all those years ago

Did Yu really see it coming? I don't think so because S3 was in development at a point in time. I guess this just turned into escalator wit over the years.

Still hillarious. I laughed really hard when I saw this. But it was kind of a bitter laughter. :/

It just kills me that the whole of Disc 4 is getting to Bailu village but we never actually get there!

I've seriously had DREAMS about being in Bailu Village Shenmue 3.

And yes... I'm sure many of us have had Shenmue dreams! I dreamed of Shenmue 2 after I beat the first, and of Shenmue 3 after I beat the 2nd. I'll never forget my Shenmue 3 dream, it had little houses in a village by a river, and some wooden bridges to connect to some of the houses that were built over the water. I was super bummed-out when I woke up from it!

When you can't stop thinking about it even when you sleep, it really goes to show how captivating and special the series is.

Reuben Kee has already gone ahead to Guilin before us.. his beautiful rendition of Reflections lives on and will never be forgotten by many.

I've written to Shenmue 3 Kickstarter asking they make a tribute to Reuben Kee in some way for Shenmue 3. They said they have taken note of it. I guess we'll see what comes out.

Sorry for adding to the gravity of a light hearted thread! But it seems like a great way a brother from the Shenmue family can be remembered in the next game. If you feel Reuben should be remembered too, please tell YsNet & send the Kickstarter messages!
