I'll post this again if anyone wants to try using Sweetfx with nulldc to enhance the Shenmue games.

Using Demul 0.582 WIP with the DX11 plugin @ x6 internal resolution and this particular version of SweetFX. It uses film grain and bloom besides some color/curves tweaking.
Config is here (just replace the content of your SweetFX_settings.txt file by mine)

Found this image in the Shenmue 500K Facebook group. These bronze mirrors belong to the British Museum, London.



And I had this thought (which is not really new, but at least expressed differently):

"Mirrors were often given as gifts to seal friendship with neighbouring people."
Maybe Zhao Sun Ming gave the mirrors to Iwao to seal their friendship and all that story about Iwao murdering Zhao is a fudge?

Ryo believes his father would never kill.
His father told him to keep friends close.
Perhaps Lan Di has been misled and misinformed about his father's end.
Probably a superior of Lan Di (it could be Tentei) told him lies, in order to nurture him with vengeance feelings so as to become a super strong fighter with the fixed goal of revenge, and that as a front to get the Mirrors from Iwao's hands.

I've long assumed Lan Di had been fed misinformation in relation to Iwao's involvement (or lack of) in his father's death for the purpose of bringing the mirrors to the higher-ups of the Chi You Men. Perhaps we will see Lan Di do a face turn (is that what it's called?) at some point in Shenmue IV or so, working together with Ryo to destroy the bastards? Ryo and Lan Di are basically the same people, minus the fact that Lan Di actually managed to take 'revenge', however misguided it may have been.

I called up my mom to see if she had any old frames that I could use for my Lan-Di picture, and she had the perfect one.

It appears Master Zhoushan's eyebrows fell down one level and combined to make a moustache. That, or the real dude's moustache jumped up a level and formed eyebrows for the former
