What if Suzuki was NOT at the head of Shenmue 3?

We're often thinking about what could be done better like an hypothetic bigger budget. What if the conditions had followed a more challenging trend?

Sega decides to produce and develop the game. As the IP owner, they decide not to give the project heading to Suzuki for obscure reasons (Suzuki didn't accept the production/artistic conditions, bad relationship, Sega thinking he doesn't know how to manage a development since ages and know nothing about modern gaming trends...).

Would have you support the game with pretty the same enthusiasm?

I still wonder if Shenmue III really was being developed for Xbox at one point. I didn't get to ask Suzuki this question and to be honest I doubt he'd tell anyone, or if he'd even know if it was happening. That E3 2004 rumour really got a lot of traction.
