Long thinking ahead :
Maybe I'm in the minority here, I don't know,
but, I think it would be easier for Sega to make a port instead of a full remaster.
Maybe something akin to Shenmue 2 on Xbox ? (On PC, maybe ?)
I mean, they have the source code for the game.
If they publish something, it could be only the original games embeded into some emulator like core.
(They could merge the disks to compress the data)
I think that the problem with HD remaster is exactly what has been brought up earlier :
If you make HD models it can clash with some lacking aspect of the game :
lack of reflection, cloths not being affected by the weather, etc...
That's why I think that ports may be best than HD remaster.
If remaster there is, it always bring the debate of "what to change ?"
and it can create an everlasting cycle of needed improvements.
All of this makes me understand a little the sentence from Yu Suzuki about Shenmue 1 and 2,
having still a slight possibility of being bundled with 3.
(He probably meant ports and not remasters,
a little like there was old games of him embedded in SH1 and SH2.)
If we get ports instead of remasters, it would make sense to provide them with Shenmue 3 :
It would be an additional incentive to buy the games, for new and old fans alike.
All of this is, as of now, wishes I got.
But, I really think that it's a lot easier for Sega to provide with a polished port,
than to create a full blown remaster (even though I would buy one if they did).
