That's great. He actually says a few things in English in the interview, and sounds pretty good. I wonder why he answered in English.

Few little nuggets of info there. I would take a return of the forklift job as almost a given at this point, but we'll see.

NPCs being like they were in Shenmue II matches my expectations as well, so no complaints. It's probably not really feasible to have the NPCs like in the original game if Ryo is hopping location throughout the story anyway, the player would either miss the longer side stories like the kitten stuff/Kurita-san's romance woes, or they'd have to wrap up quickly to conclude before the point in the story where Ryo goes to the next town. If they can include a few quirky NPCs like the capsule toy maniac and so-on, I'll be happy.

It seems this Shenmue 3's board is a bit quiet since the arrival of Shenmue HD!

We are approaching to the end of the month and I was wondering if we'll get an update at the kickstarter page and more important, if they'll announce their presence (or no) at the E3. Knowing that Corey and Masaya didn't start to record yet tells me that it's difficult we see Shenmue at E3 but at least a few screens in an update wouldn't hurt anyone!

Will Ryo finally like to eat carrot at the end of Shenmue 3? Is his trauma with food going to be solved through his journey? Will we actually see him eating something on screen or is he feeding himself on revenge thoughts the entire time?

If they're sticking to Yu Suzuki-designed games of the time period alone, the only remaining games are Enduro Racer, Super Hang-On, and After Burner II, all of which are not too dissimilar from their counterparts, so maybe they'll take inspiration from other arcade games and/or create their own, a la QTE Title and Excite QTE 2.

We know there's punch-ball and pinball machines in the game, so I wouldn't be surprised if the shift was directed towards those sorts of games compared to traditional arcade cabinets.
