Shenmue book?

I heard the game Shenmue has a book based off of it. Is this true, and if so, what is the name of it, and where can i get a copy?

It is true however, that Yu Suzuki wrote a manuscript with the whole Shenmue story inside. If only he'd publish it :(

im not sure what a manuscript is but he has got the WHOLE story written down, i doubt it will be released untill theres an official announcement about its console games coming to an end!... hopefully that will never happen!

i think the exact word he used was 'complete storyboard'... which would explain all those unlockable storyboard parts in shenmue IIx perhaps those are taken right from the future of shenmue exact scans of his own story board, that would make sense to me!! plsu ofcourse there are some story boards of parts that were left out like the wong and ren mini-story

No....actually the word used was manuscript. He was interviewed once about Shenmue and he asked one of his PA's to show the manuscript. Unfortunately I don't think he would ever publish it as it sounds like something he didnt simply sit down and write, it seems to me as something he spent a long time compiling (he visited China if I'm not mistaken) and has all the plot for Shenmue inside.

o'rite cool still it prooves he has the whole story somewhere, yeah im not sure if he did but a whole load of people went all over for reasearch it cost ridiculous amounts and was probably a big part of shemue I being the dearest game ever... at the time!
