Tiger Gate Bldg.

Tiger Gate Bldg.

Postby Kiyuu » Fri May 27, 2005 9:59 am

As you see in this topic, LanDC has found an unused loading screen of Tiger Gate Bldg.

Image

I think I've found where it was. As you may know, Thousand White Bldg is called C Bldg
and looks like this:

Image

While all the rooms in the building are classified as "C-1," Tiger Gate Bldg is called "C-2."
That means it should be a connected building to C-1 Bldg, like other Kowloon buildings.
I've found the answer in this map of the Thousand White Qr:

Image

You can see this map for a second when you buy it around Thousand White Qr.
Do you recognize C Bldg? The big building in the middle is the Yellow Head Bldg
and C Bldg is just its left. Do you see the difference of its shape from the one
in the map of C Bldg? There's a connected building on its left, projecting into the
green area! That should be C-2 part, namely Tiger Gate Bldg.

In fact, you can see that part of the building from Dragon Street like these:

Isn't it strange the part that is supposed to be gone now still visible like this? :P

This is the closer look of the Tiger Gate Bldg. I took this picture by using the glitch
LanDC found and crossed the loading point as invisible Ryo. ;)

This undoubtedly clears up the confusion surrounding the Tiger Gate and Thousand White Building's relation. I've linked this topic to my "Baihu's role in the Shenmue series" topic now.

To help, I edited your picture of the Thousand White Qr's map and outlined where the Thousand White and Tiger Gate buildings should be. Hope it helps.

AWESOME. GREAT DISCOVERY, KIYUU o_o
So I guess, originally, Tiger Gate Kung Fu was originally meant to be in the C-2 part....

The Tiger Gate Building is where we would have fought him, if he wasn't relocated for the final version.

Ok, I see. So they just combined the Tiger Gate Building into the Thousand White instead of having a seperate section.

I suppose they were combined because there's only so many floors of empty rooms one person can take.

You can also see the Tiger Gate Building from the Construction Base. It's the street fighting area to the right of the Thousand White Building's entrance.

You can see it for yourself. Just keep in mind, you won't get the same exact views as I got here, as I have a special ability. ;)

So theres no entrance or way u can get to the Tiger Gate building from TW? JW since they are connected, and alot of buildings in Kowloon you can only get to by entering thru another building. And it looks like there are tunnels connecting the two buildings to get to one from the other on that last image.

No, there's no way to get to the Tiger Gate Bldg. Those tunnels you see are the ones that connect the Thousand White Bldg. to the Ghost Hall Bldg.
