A member over at the Hazuki Dojo website found a screen of Kage Maru fighting Jacky Bryant, and check out the place in the background. Also, doesn't the area itself resemble Pigeon Park a little? This was over a week ago, sorry if it's already been discussed.

Nice little touch. I think all it means is that some of Shenmue's development team also worked on Virtua Fighter 5, so they must be fond of the game. Doesn't mean that Sega themselves remember though, to them, it is nothing more than a fancy looking bar.

Actually, this made me think of that post by that guy not so long ago, who said about someone at Sega saying there was hidden content in VF5 related to a series that many fans wanted or something.

Since the original thread in which this was hinted at has been locked, I don't think it would hurt to discuss what was said in it. The poster of that thread gave this quote by Shinkiro Itawa: "there is a surprise in the virtual fighter 5 game, and it´s releated with an advance (a really wanted game with a lot of fan´s waiting for it and the usually i can´t say anymore for now."

The horrid English and misspellings (which I attribute more to the poster than the translation) aside, what does "and it's related with an advance" mean? Can anyone track down this actual quote to a source? Did a website or magazine publish this? It might actually be a statement worth paying attention to instead of being ignored because it was posted by an overoptimistic Argentinian with bad English.
