Same, although it's doubtful it will ever happen if the source code actually was lost. It's always been a game I've had my eye on but I struggle to justify paying that much for it.

Pete got mad with me when I said he doesn't seem to actually enjoy video games per se, but seeing as he's selling his gaming collection outside of Shenmue, I can't help the feeling that I wasn't so far off.

It's something that I'm noticing more and more of late - people enjoy looking at and/or listening to video games, but they don't enjoy them veritably, as video games per se.

I've sorta done the opposite in the past year or so, Skyrim got me back into OCD-ish "do everything" gaming, I think I've put about 450+ hours into that game in total.

The gaming forum here is so active, there's usually talk about both current/new releases and about older games that some of the gaming "elitists" here like to mention a lot. I don't post in this forum very often, but I do like to read it and pay attention to stuff that'd usually be under my radar (for instance, quite a few people have spoke about Nier, which looks like it could be something I'd go for).

It ain't that he doesn't enjoy games anymore, it's that he's moving to Australia and needs money for more important things. He never said he's selling his consoles, so he obviously intends to continue purchasing games. Smart idea keepin his systems too, games down in the land of Oz cost a fuckin fortune!

It's not just that selling part. Just look at his posts about actually playing video games.

I think that video games became so popular that they are pretty much put into everybody's throats, whereas there's actually not that many people who enjoy gaming in its pure form.

In other words, nobody can truly understand nor enjoy video games unless they are as enlightened as Dorian.

Most people moan about having to play something more than a few hours, most people can't stand dying and learning how to play properly, most people have other things that turn them on. Hell, many people watch how a given game ends via YT because they don't even care about beating it themselves.

It's totally different than in the 80s and 90s, when gamers were glued to their consoles and they loved challenging and long games.

It's obvious since I spend more time with them than most modern gamers and a purely mathematical quotation will show that I have to play on a higher level if I put more time and effort into them.

Some of you are so ridiculously insecure and in need of so frequent ego revalidation that I'm really starting to wonder what hides behind all those avatars, what lies deep down inside?

I just get tired of reading the same old pretentious crap from you. You're consistently smearing your toxic attention-seeking unclever soulless cynical bollocks over the board like a mental patient finger-painting with their own shit.

Ditto.

You're getting "the same old pretentious crap" from me because you're constantly using silver platers of semantics to deliver the same old shit from your own mental ass.

You're also watching too much cheap porn.

The constant talk of insecurities is tiring too. Used to be a trolling technique that worked in the mid-00s, but nowadays it's lost all it's value. Snail Faeces > Internet Psychological Analyses.

EDIT: Porn is free on RedTube. Can "free" really be considered cheap? Cheap suggests low cost, free is no cost.
