AMERICANS: Which holiday do you prefer?

From my obviously completely skewed view of America I'm kinda under the impression that you're more keen on Thanksgiving than Christmas. Am I correct? If so, why? Is it the whole America! Fuck yeah! thing or what? I'm generally curious.

New Year's is the only holiday reasonably worth celebrating. Every other holiday is either a religious one where everyone only pretends to give a fuck, or one created for nationalistic propaganda. And virtually all of them are historically inaccurate.

Thanksgiving might be more popular for adults because its an excuse to eat as much as physically possible. Americans love to eat until they blackout.

I prefer Christmas over Thanksgiving. I think people like the day after thanksgiving, because that's when they get Black Friday. I think People in the States generally like Christmas more.

i prefer Christmas. I mean cmon, it was through Christmas that i got a dreamcast and shenmue in 6th grade. it was christmas that got me PAL shenmue 2 with boot disc in 7th grade. it was christmas that got me an XBox and Shenmue 2x in 8th grade. Christmas was when i got a shoe box FILLED with packs of pokemon cards when i was 19 umm i mean 10. it was christmas that got me a red ryder air rifle with a compas and stock and a thingy that tells time. through Christmas i am able to see my daughters face light up with pure joy over the new wardrobe i got her of all the cool hip clothes she wanted!!! IT WAS CHRISTMAS!!!!! FUCKING CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MWA HAHAHAHAHA!!!! fuck thanks giving...i hate my girls family

I don't celebrate any holidays, but I agree with Ryudo. Halloween has a pretty fun atmosphere. Especially at 3am and in a graveyard.

Not sure I have a favorite holiday, they are all rather dull, and come at the same time every year, I am a fan of surprises, so they are a bit predictable, repetitive and boring at this point. Sometimes I am in the holiday mood, but rarely.
