I hope it follows the style of that teaser. That would at least mean they're doing something a little different with it visually. A film grain-y, b&w Mickey game would be pretty cool, actually.

I never have felt the love for Castle of Illusion like others so if this is a HD remake then I'll pass.

What I would love though is if they ported the sequel World of Illusion which has to be one of my favorite games ever simply for the memories. I haven't played it for about 10 years partly out of fear that it doesn't hold up but me and my brother would play that game all the time as kids.

^^Yeah, I was always more of a World of Illusion fan as well. Played it semi-recently with my fiance. It's a little stiff and "kiddy," but hearing the music and sound effects would probably take you back enough that you wouldn't care. I certainly didn't.

Same here. I enjoyed that one even more than the original myself. In fact, the art style still holds up incredibly well.

You never know, if this is popular enough, they may do it for World of Illusion as well. It's strange seeing Disney getting plenty of games made again.

I would doubt they would remake it but Land of illusion is by far the best in the illusion series in my opinion.

I still think this remake of Castle of Illusion should be good, and it looks as though they are putting the effort in.
I hope they don't stop here though, and like you guys have mentioned It would be great if they remade world of illusion, but what I would like to see the most is a Quackshot remake.

According to PlayStation Blog, the game is being developed by Sega Studios Australia, which will reportedly be shuttered by year's end. The new Castle of Illusion starring Mickey Mouse will be available on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC via Steam.
