PS4, big new announcement next month

This has probably been mentioned in the forum elsewhere, but I can't find it and I'd like to hear what you think about this.

Considering all the latest signs of sony showing interest, I have some hopes that this could be related to the Shenmue series. How likely do you think it would be?

It could be anything really. Demon's Souls 2, new Crash Bandicoot, new Jak & Daxter, Uncharted 4 (yes it has been announced already, but this wouldn't be the first time magazines try make the announcement for a new game). It's so vague and magazines like to spout off hyperbole, so keep your hype in check.
I find it highly unlikely for it to be anything related to Shenmue.

Yeah, I think I'll unfortunately have to agree with Henry to an extent, however,I doubt a new Jak & Daxter or Uncharted would be ''one of the most exciting covers in the history of the magazine'', especially since those series are still very much alive. Then again, it could just be OPM's hyperbole.

It's a little vague in that it doesn't specify whether the series is new to Playstation in general or just the first game from a series which has been on PS in the past to be on the PS4 (in which case it could be almost anything).

My gut says that it's Uncharted 4 (I know it's been announced - but why would a UK magazine be allowed to break the news of a new release in this day and age?). I wouldn't be surprised if it's a new Crash Bandicoot game though.

I wouldn't mind a new CTR, I'm kind of skeptical about another crash platformer though.

It'd be great if they announced shenmue 3 and then had the postmortem as publicity. But I know my definition I "series of massive significance" and most other people's are vastly different. I mean, I've never played a crash game and I only played the uncharted series last year, so...

First the nod from that Ryo H. in the other thread and now this. Now Sony is making an announcement next month AROUND THE SAME TIME YU SUZUKI IS SPEAKING ABOUT SHENMUE. It can't be coincidence.

It could be anything really. But the chances of it beeing Shenmue (III or HD remakes or even both) are pretty high this time. Next month is going to show if all the signs are going in one direction or if we all misunderstood them and the post mortem event will just reveal Yu's spiritual successor...
