Yeah, not quite keen on the title.
But dammit all if Wonder Boy in Monster World isn't one of the single most important, affecting games in my own personal gaming history, and those screens are awfully nice. Even if it's just digital, I'm sold.

EDIT: Though... looking at Game Atelier's website, it seems like they pretty much only do mobile games...
That's... pretty disappointing. I'd even take a PC release over that.

Oh, pft, didn't see that part. Good news.
Even better news that the music is by Shinichi Sakamoto. I easily count WBiMW's OST among my personal top-10 of all time.
With all that being the case, can't wait to hear more on this.

Things have been updated a bit over the past months. The protagonist's sprite has been changed (for the better, I think), and the title has been changed from "The Wizard of Booze" to "The Cursed Kingdom" (not sure on that; "Wizard of Booze" isn't great, but at least it was unique, while "Cursed Kingdom" is about as plain as you can get).
Yuzo Koshiro has also joined the team and will be contributing some music to it (though I really hope that doesn't mean Shinichi Sakamoto is out).
And in a nice little surprise, it looks like the game is going to have animated cutscenes. And while I might have preferred a sort of old-school anime style (to match the old Monster World games), the one they're going for is interesting, because it totally reminds me of the animation in old CD-rom games and whatnot. Cool throwback either way.

Release has been pushed to 2016, but it seems to be shaping up nicely. Hope we see some gameplay soon.

This year just gets better:

Oh, and I hadn't even seen this yet:

Good lord. Sexy. I saw the Myconid in there.
And Jesus Christ, that list of composers is insane. Yuzo Koshiro, Motoi Sakuraba, Michiru Yamane, and Keiki Kobayashi are all taking part. Literally some of the biggest names in Japanese videogame music.
