You realize a lot of those things are kung fu movie tropes, and Shenmue is in many ways a tribute to wuxia movies, correct? These are purely coincidental, I feel.

Yes, of course, still I many times didn't need to edit anything, it was just 1:1 smoothly playing side by side (goodbye-scene, etc.). Sure, generally I would agree, but in this case there are so many different scenes (also in part 2) that are striking.

Edit: Wait, the trademark red bike sequence with hot girl on it is also typical kung fu martial art tradition :O?

I enjoyed your video, thanks! A lot of similarities when put side by side. Yu Suzuki mentioned recently that Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee movies were a source of inspiration for him with the creation of Shenmue.
